I've been relying on the BBC news app to get the best unbiased US news for over a decade and I guess I need to find a new source because the new update may have tried to make it look new and trendy but it's really just incredibly busy to the point of being visually overwhelming. They took nice organized categories and just threw everything together. Also the double ask to get an account whenever I open it is a huge turn off. Very, very disappointed.

The new app is horrible. Never stays loaded in memory so its way slower to start up. Have to wait through the splash screen and login page every time I go to the app. The new layout is horrible. No more "popular" page which is the main page I used. The new home page is a mess. Looks cluttered and difficult to navigate. Really disappointing as I like BBC but I'll have to find another app.

I have always considered BBC News to be my best and most reliable news app. However . . . News articles now often look more like ads. There is very little to make anything look interesting. And it's very annoying to have to manually choose to continue without an account every time I open the app--not gonna happen, guys. Leaving the app on my phone for now to receive any improvements, but it is no longer on my home screen.
